Ethnographic complex Rodna stryaha

The ethnographic complex “Rodna stryaha” in village Gabarnitsa is opened for visitors several years ago. It is situated in an old house, restored and transformed in museum of rural style of living of an average standard family from the end of the XIX century. Near the ethnographic collection, a tavern functions with 120 seats indoors and 60 seats outdoors. Except objects of rural lifestyle, one can see demonstration of manual knitting and weaving in the museum. Local folklore band and orchestra restore folklore traditions, songs and dances in front of the tourists. The guests are offered horse-riding, phaeton or cart trip, and joining to agricultural work. The excursion to the village may be combined with trip to the ancient fortress Ovech.

There are conditions for deveopment of family tourism in the village Gabarnitsa. Local bee-keepers introduce the guest to the way of collecting ecologically clean honey. The wonderful nature, silence and calmness and the beautiful houses may soon transform the village of Gabarnitsa in a beautiful ethnographic village.

There are five dams in municipality Vetrino with fish. They are situated in regions with picturesque nature and attract fishermen and fans of water sports. Hunters may shoot wild-boars, reindeers, does, foxes, etc.

The rural tourism, together with the restoration of the local folklore traditions and habits, and old forgotten local crafts, is a good perspective for the municipality. Finding investors for the construction of the so called “Green villages” on the territory of the municipality round the Golyamo I Malko Bulo, the dams, etc. could transfer them in attractive centres for tourists and holiday-makers not only from the country.

The availability of great tourist potential, creates opportunities for connection via tourist routes with the neighboring municipalities Provadiya and Dalgopol, which have old traditions for development of cultural and rural tourism.
