Authentic Bulgaria is an independent quality mark in tourism, which is awarded to small hotels and guesthouses that offer authentic and original tourist products. The bearers of the Authentic Bulgaria Quality Mark have gone through an elaborated process of strict and independent evaluation, and all of them deserve their quality mark. You will not find the typical hotel environment at these places. There is something very special about each of them. It is their service and hospitality, beautiful decoration, architecture, surrounding nature or the opportunity to meet and talk to local people. In all cases, you will surely experience Bulgaria in a very different and personal way.

According to the evaluation results, our hotels and guesthouses are awarded with one of the three quality marks: Gold, Silver, or Bronze Quality Mark.

For the few places that carry the Gold Mark, one can be sure that they are the best and offer highest quality.

To highlight the individuality in particular areas, some places are also recognized with Roses of Distinction for excellence in four specific areas.

One can be sure that these places are very special in terms of the four areas to which Authentic Bulgaria pays special attention to make sure that the visitor will remember his or her stay there. These are: hospitality, cuisine, ambience, or attractions.
